I love getting new and better supplies – I’m teaching myself, so learning through trial-and-error and constant searching is part of the process. Yesterday I finally bought some beautiful Arches watercolor paper. This stuff is not cheap ($20 a pop for 20 small sheets) which is why I have been putting it off until I knew what I was doing a little more (okay, I still don’t know what I’m doing…but at least I can fake it!)

This gal turned out looking very fifties-influenced. Like a modern-day version of one of those fashionable secretaries from a Rock Hudson/Doris Day film.
