I love wall art and frames – just look at how happy it makes that plain ol’ wall. Go ahead, add some style to your walls!
If you like the print above you can check it out in my shop.

Today’s illustration is simple – drawing furniture was the first thing I’ve gotten paid to do - sketching concepts for an interior decorator. It’s like fashion, but in some sense it’s easier to draw stationary inanimate objects. I think illustration works great with pretty decor (check out Deborah Needleman’s 100% illustrated decorating book, for instance. I love it.) I added a little sparkle to this simple but pretty loveseat.
Don’t have a smartphone, but do have a nice camera – so…fake instagram snaps of course!
Excited about my Winsor and Newton paints – 1million x better than the cheapies. Not sure how I ended up with a brown lamp on a green table in front of a blue-and-pink stripe wall. Obviously having some color scheme issues…
As I will soon be buying a new bookshelf with a built-in desk, I went Amazon-crazy this morning looking for some inspiring, pretty, creative books – from pretty travel books (meant for children, but such great illustrations!) sewing, decorating and fashion. I collected them in Amazon’s (amazing) wishlist feature. I’d love to be surrounded by all of these inspiring creative books! My absolute favorite discovery is the “Just Being Audrey” book, with gorgeous illustrations. I can’t wait to own it:

As an exercise I took one of my favorite decor pins from pinterest, and drew it.
From start to finish: 1 hr.
I just love the purple and green together in this room!
